Maria da Costa’s background and formation almost spell the word “design”. A trained, certified and experienced interior designer and a graduate of Belgium’s famed HRD diamond grading training, with an active involvement in the local art scene as an accomplished creator in several fields of the visual arts, she
quickly opted to express herself in the domain of jewelry.
Amongst the very first, world-wide, to adopt advanced metals such as Titanium and Zirconium as her metal of choice she started creating jewelry designs that take advantage of those metals unique metallurgical properties.
Indeed, designer Maria da Costa proceeded to create some of the most daring and stunning tension designs (”all legally protected” she hurries to emphasize) in the newly adopted media.
